Nobel Peace Prize Awarded to Pakistan’s Malala Yousafzai, India’s Kailash Satyarthi. Indian children’s-rights activist Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani teenager shot by Taliban militants after campaigning for girls’ education, were awarded this year’s Nobel Peace Prize on Friday, in the same week that cross-border violence flared up between their countries.
